Countdown to NOLA!
I am happy to report that we are less than three weeks away from a full week of the documentary shoot in New Orleans! Back in July, I only dreamed that this day would come…Now, we’re just working out last-minute details. Shannon, our news contributor, will be leaving her post at a television station for the week to join me for what promises to be a memorable experience.I’m thrilled about the groups we will be meeting throughout the week: Reed College, North Central Texas College, Hobart & William Smith Colleges, Macalester College, and KESHER. There’s so much enthusiasm among these young people (and among the supporters of Project: Katrina Hope) to make a real difference in the lives of others. I am incredibly thankful to the leaders of each of these groups for allowing us to be a part of their experiences, and I can’t wait to see the kind of energy they bring to New Orleans.
As always, I am sincerely grateful to those who have contributed to our organization through monetary donations and t-shirt purchases. I can promise that every penny is put to good use for Project: Katrina Hope.
